Basement availability and finishing costs vary by plan and lot. We have not verified basement details for every community.
Our comparison criteria
- Price "from", exactly as the builder publishes it
- Home types (single-family, townhome, etc.)
- Home sizes (square feet, bedrooms)
- HOA dues, assessments and PID/special district charges
- Lot premiums
- Included features vs. paid upgrades
- Current offers, with their terms and end date
The biggest incentive isn't always the lowest total cost. Same criteria for every builder; we don't rank builders.
How we compareWhat to check in this situation
- Ask which plans and lots offer a basement, and whether it is finished or unfinished.
- Get a written price for basement finishing if you plan to finish it.
- Ask whether a walk-out or daylight basement carries a lot premium.
